Messages from Loved Ones: Finding Comfort After Loss

One of the most common questions I receive is: “Can my husband/wife/child/mum still see me? Do they know how much I miss them?”

The answer, from both my own experience and the many readings I’ve done, is a clear yes.

What Ben Teaches About Continued Connection

Ben (my spirit guide) shares this comforting truth:

“They are not gone. They have only left their physical body. They can visit you whenever they want. There is no separation from their perspective, only from yours.”

He often explains that loved ones send signs in ways we can notice: familiar scents, dreams that feel very real, birds or butterflies appearing at meaningful moments, or a sudden sense of peace when you’re thinking about them.

Real Stories from Readings

Many clients come for a mediumship reading feeling hopeless. After receiving specific messages —names, memories, or details only they could know—something shifts. The heavy weight of “I will never hear their voice again” gives way to “I can still feel their love.”

One woman who lost her husband told me after a reading: “For the first time in two years, I slept through the night. I finally know he is okay.”

How to Open Yourself to These Messages

You don’t need to be a medium to receive signs.

Simple practices help:

  • Talk to your loved one out loud
  • Write them letters (many people do this in a grief journal)
  • Pay attention to your dreams and intuitive feelings
  • Light a candle and invite them to visit

All these gentle methods are explained step by step in our new free eBook, Loss and Grief.

When Grief Feels Too Heavy

Sometimes the pain is so intense that even these small steps feel impossible. That is okay. Be kind to yourself. Seek professional support when needed, and know that spiritual comfort can walk alongside therapy; they strengthen each other.

A Gentle Invitation

If you’re ready to receive a direct message from your loved one, I invite you to book a personal mediumship reading. Many people read the eBook first and then reach out when the time feels right.

You are not alone in this. Your loved ones are closer than you think, and there is support available whenever you need it.
